Singapore’s leading ceramic artists, Iskandar Jalil, will have almost 200 of his art pieces on show at the National Gallery, with some dating all the way back from the ’60s. His art pieces often reflects the landscape of the society, and through his artwork, a timeline is created to understand how ceramic art has evolved over time.Date: Ongoing till 28 February 2017

4. ACRES Supporters Get-together

At ACRES’ Supporter Get-Together, you can meet many like-minded individuals who feel strongly for the protection of wildlife and care for animals and the environment. At the event, ACRES will present their work plans for the new year as they have worked hard over the past 15 years to stand against animal cruelty. A vegan lunch will be served, and some volunteer activities will be scheduled during the day.

6. JR Cafe Mt.Fuji Time (The Mt. Fuji Challenge)

JR Rail Cafe is the is the first overseas venture by Japan’s Railway Company that started the bullet trains that take you across Japan in a matter of hours. This month, they are focusing on the iconic Mt. Fuji where you can participate in various activities like tasting delicious snacks from the 5 different locations where Mt. Fuji can be seen from, and vote for your favourite place to view the mountain (4 February). Other activities include scrapbooking and learning more about the area, and if you are interested to visit Mt. Fuji, there is a peer to peer session where you can hear experiences of travellers who have been there, and gain insights on how to plan your itinerary (5 February).
