Disclaimer: silica beads not included
The humble silica gel packet in our snacks are usually overlooked even though they play a very important part in ensuring our snacks remain crispy and fresh. And now they’ve earned the spotlight as a cute fanny pack that’s making the rounds on influencers as part of their #OOTDs.
Call it a hip-pack, fanny-pack, sling bag, whatever you want, but this hilarious statement piece is sure to gather approving likes on Instagram and in real life.
As a regular festival goer, this bag is pretty much checks all the boxes for a festival accessory: the adjustable strap means you can wear it as a fanny pack or across your chest, it’s eye-catching, and it’s big enough to store your phone, cash and makeup. It just happens that festival season is coming up too!

We found the Silica Gel Bag on XOhalo.com for US$35 and it comes with free shipping. The bag comes in three colours, white, black and a pretty pastel pink. We still think that the classic white package is still the funniest as its the most recognizable.
The bag measures at 7.8″ (20cm) by  8.7″ (22cm), which easily fits all your festival essentials. According to the picture on the website, you can put your phone, card holder, what looks like a tube of candy, and even a sneaky bottle of perfume.

Just before you hit the checkout button, you might want to check out (pun intended) all the other cool stuff that they have. There’s this really adorable Mini Mac Make-up Mirror for all the basic Apple fans and this sling bag that looks like a mini doll house. It looks a bit bulky, but no one said that fashion is easy.
