The video was posted by TikToker @gichizzle, who sent the invites out just “for a laugh”, but actually managed to receive some heartfelt replies and even gifts in return for their special day.

Most notable out of all the responses is a signed letter from President Tharman Shanmugaratnam himself, who expressed his regrets at not being able to attend the couple’s wedding due to “an official commitment”, but sends the newlyweds “good health and all the very best for the future”.

The couple also sent out invites to some of their favourite companies, and received some surprise gifts in return. Gong Cha’s CEO wrote them a letter of congratulations and sent $90 worth of gift vouchers, Scoot sent a gift hamper filled with collectible teddy bears and merchandise, Don Don Donki sent a gift box filled with a custom card and penguin plushies while Koi waived the delivery fee for their custom bubble tea bulk order.
