Nights out in Singapore just got even better: there’s a new sky-high penthouse dining experience in the CBD where you can enjoy free live entertainment while you dine and drink.
HighHouse is perched on the 62th floor, and they’ve just launched a new Dinner & Dance concept as part of their nighttime entertainment line-up. And before you associate the term “Dinner & Dance” with the usual corporate events, you’ll be glad to know that this is nothing like that. HighHouse’s Dinner & Dance is a one-of-a-kind live entertainment and dining experience that you won’t find anywhere else in Singapore.

Grilled Octopus, $28

Mala Shrooms, $18

Broccolini, $18
Start your evening with a dinner affair at HighHouse—we’d recommend coming at around 6pm onwards to soak in some of the daytime views—with main dishes starting from $30 each. You can also grab some of their signature curated cocktails from $20 each. Some of the best views at HighHouse are undoubtedly by the windows: you get unobstructed views of the stunning cityscape and Marina Bay Sands skyline, and the view just gets even better when night falls.

Scallop Crudo, $36

Belly of the Beast, $36

USDA Wagyu Striploin, $98

Blackcurrant Chocolate Mousse, $24
Some of the dishes we enjoyed include the Scallop Crudo ($36), which was light and refreshing to start. Meat lovers have plenty of options: like the USDA Wagyu Striploin ($98), which was grilled to a perfect medium-rare, albeit small in portion given the hefty price tag. Order the Belly of the Beast ($36) pork belly and you’ll also be treated to a live slicing and plating of the dish at their live station.

Once the clock hits 8pm, make sure to keep your eyes peeled for the first set of live entertainment happening at the centre of the restaurant. During our visit, we got to see talented burlesque dancers sashay around the room, and one of them even danced in a giant “martini glass” filled with water—truly a treat for the eyes. After the main dance performance, some of the dancers even went around the room and danced up close in front of our table as we continued dining.

There’s 3 waves of performances happening at 8pm, 9pm and 10pm: with different entertainment at each wave. Aside from live burlesque or carnival dancers, there could also be live musicians (like saxophonist, guitarist or violinist) , DJs and even a roving mentalist (@tomthementalist)! These live entertainment options will be available from Mondays through Saturdays, with different performances nightly. We’d recommend coming on weekends (Fridays and Saturdays) to experience a comprehensive line-up of performances.

Jell-O, $20

After experiencing HighHouse’s Dinner & Dance for ourselves, we think it’s safe to say that there isn’t quite anything like it in Singapore. A night out at HighHouse is much more than just food and drinks: it’s a one-of-a-kind experiential and immersive social dining experience that’s sure to amaze. The cocktail prices at HighHouse are pretty standard, but we did feel that the food (especially the mains) were a tad pricey for the portion sizes. Though, this is probably to be expected for such a venue: and you’re really paying for dining with the vibes and ambience of the place. With gorgeous views and captivating theatrical performances to look forward to, we’ll definitely be back at HighHouse for our next night out on the town.
