Merci Marcel’s 2nd Outlet On Club Street Is Just As Aesthetic With New Wine, Cheese, and Dining Options

Less tropical, more refined

Merci Marcel8
Well-loved for their breezy, tropical aesthetics and authentic French cuisine, Merci Marcel has made a name for itself. Almost everyone is familiar with the French multi-concept restaurant which is part cafe, part lifestyle retail boutique, and recently, part art gallery, and it comes as great news that they’ve just opened a 2nd outlet along Club Street that’s catered towards the CBD crowd!

While the alfresco dining area still has a relaxed, tropical atmosphere thanks to the rattan chairs, wooden tables, and plenty of potted plants, the restaurant’s interior is slightly more muted and chic as compared to the first branch.

It has a pretty interesting design as well, with 2 adjoining rooms connected to each other via an archway, giving the place a very homely feeling.

The lifestyle retail section is slightly smaller in this new outlet, but diners can still browse through items like sunglasses, mugs, chocolates, and gourmet jams.

In terms of food offerings, they’ve moved away from the all-day brunch concept and focuses more on what they call “noon to night dining”. Be greeted by new mains like Duck Parmentier Facon Marcel and Grilled Octopus, and a rotational cheese menu that has a selection of French farm cheeses air flown in daily.

Of course, crowd-favourites like the Ravioles de Royans, a French speciality layered with Switzerland Tête de Moine cheese, Croque Marcel, Organic Snapper Ceviche, and Duck Rillettes remain as signatures on the menu!
