Lo and behold – slated to reopen in Q3 2019, Funan (renamed from Funan DigitaLife Mall) will go beyond its previous core business on IT products to incorporate the digital experience throughout the entire development. Centering around Singapore’s new Creative Intersection, shoppers can expect to learn and discover a myriad of experiences in line with their passions where the new mall will be organised around 6 passion clusters – tech, fit, taste, chic, play and craft.

Before we get disheartened with the tentative period of a 3 years’ closure, some of you – like us, might get trigger-happy to know what is in the works for the new face of our long-standing mall.
Shoppers can look forward to the first drive-through click-and-collect and hands-free shopping service in the CBD, a 4,000sqft urban farm where plots can be adopted to grow their own produce, full cycling facilities and areas to play a game of street basketball and futsal, together with a 50-lane indoor rock climbing wall, a 7-screen cinema and a 400-seat theatre which await visitors in the new Funan.

The anticipation for the exciting additions to Funan starts right now – amidst its redevelopment phase, Funan has transformed its external hoarding along Hill Street and North Bridge Road into a 180-metre long piece of street art installation, the first and longest of its kind in Singapore’s Civic District.
Partnering with homegrown graffiti artist Ceno2 who is well-known in the international street art circuit for his signature graffiti fine art style – where he had worked with projects such as the Singapore Air Show 2014 for Scoot Airlines and Solo Exhibition at “Gallery Bar” in Chicago, he had come up with seven freshly hand-sprayed, original and larger-than-life portraitures that showcase Funan’s new experiential offerings which signify the 6 passion clusters.

As part of Funan’s efforts to get to know more about the community, they have launched its #ceno2xfunansg Instagram contest from now to 31 December 2016.
