Clarke Quay Central welcomes popular cheesecake brand – Cat & The Fiddle to their new home

Brace yourselves for some cheesy delights as the renowned local pastry chef, Mr Daniel Tay, who founded Cat & The Fiddle has finally opened the first cheesecake-only store at Clarke Quay Central!

For true cheesecake enthusiasts, Cat & The fiddle is here to fuel your addiction with some wacky flavours one slice at a time. Famed for its Asian-inspired cakes, flashy colours and charismatic mascots, Cat’s new humble abode comes decked out in vibrant coloured furnishing with a smiley life-sized Cat greeting customers at the entrance.

The store comes with unique features such as a cheesecake pop counter that lets you jazz up your cheesecake-on-a-stick with as many as eight of your favourite toppings and more. Looking to personalise your cakes? Cat offers two services (only for whole cake purchases); designing a 3D decoration from a limited range of figurines and messages (only available in-store, $2 onwards) and a photo-booth that creates one-of-a-kind greeting cards that only takes two minutes to make ($4.50 per card)!

What’s more, you can now buy Cat’s famous cheesecakes one slice at a time (priced between $4.90 – $5.90, only in-store), without committing to a whole cake which also means no more cake bingeing! Cat’s creations are mostly influenced by the local flavours in Singapore – Modern Duke’s Pudding which is their rendition of the ever-popular Oreo cookies & cream ($35.90/whole, $4.90/slice); and for durian lovers, The King Cat of The Mountain cheesecake ($42.90/whole, $5.90/slice) is definitely calling your name!

If savoury treats are more up your alley, our unanimous vote would have to go to their Sweet and Smokey Taffy cheesecake – with the perfect balance of both sweet and salty, it features a delicious combination of crunchy Oreo biscuit crust topped with a dense cream cheese base and a generous coating of their sticky sea-salt toffee glaze. Pro-tip: for quick and easy transactions, we recommend using the self-help kiosks to avoid the long queues!
