World’s famous Chatuchak Weekend Market in Bangkok reopened on 9 May 2020, after closing for a month due to Covid-19! However, stricter social distancing measures will be implemented to prevent the spread of the virus.

Screening checkpoints are set up at all six entry gates to the market, where visitors will have their temperatures taken and hand sanitizer are provided. Although visitors can dine-in at stalls with seatings(while maintaining a 1.5m distance), they are strongly encouraged to take away their food.

The weekend market is open from 5am-6pm daily for all vendors selling local goods and also food and drink. So visitors can get delicious coconut ice cream, mango sticky rice, honey roast pork and so much more while keeping safe distances in public! Night market will, however, remain closed to comply with ongoing national curfew.
