Culinary Class Wars is one of the Korean Netflix shows that took the world by storm last year in 2024. Pretty much all the participating chefs saw hours-long queues at their restaurants and F&B establishments (even till today), with plenty of people clamouring for a taste of their cooking.
If you’ve also been dying to try their cooking but don’t want to brave the queues in Korea, here are 4 Culinary Class Wars chefs who will be having restaurant pop-ups and menus right here in Singapore! And fun fact: all of the visiting chefs are “black spoon” chefs!
1. “Cooking Maniac” at SEORAE JIB

Known for his unique quirks and meme-worthy expressions while cooking is “Cooking Maniac”, or Chef Yoon Nam No, one of the top 4 out of 100 contestants on Culinary Class Wars. Chef Yoon has teamed up with popular KBBQ chain, SEORAE JIB, to create 4 exclusive dishes.

The dishes feature unique fermentation methods inspired by traditional Korean techniques, incorporating ingredients like miso, makgeolli and Korean sake. Diners will be able to taste unique KBBQ meats like Misoyaki Galmaegisal and Nuruk So Anchangsal; a rice pot dish, Buchaesal Sotbap and also Makkoli Sorbet for dessert. The menu will be available at all SEORAE JIB outlets in Singapore. For more details on this collaboration, see here.

“Celebrities’ Chef”, Lim Hee Won, gets his name from the fact that many famous celebs have dined at his wine bar, BUTO HANNAM. For one day only, Chef Hee Won will be coming to GU:UM to prepare a special Doljanchi menu, a steak-inspired feast served in a traditional Korean hansik-style.

The menu will feature 8 courses for $188++ per person, and includes the Chef’s viral vegetarian sashimi (as featured in Culinary Class Wars). Diners will also get to enjoy elevated bibimbap served with caviar, abalone mala bibimmyeon and more. For the full menu, see here. The menu will be served for lunch and dinner on 12th April 2025, and you can reserve your spot here.
